1977 Marvel Star Wars #1 Comic CGC 9.8

QUICK DESCRIPTION For sale is a vintage Marvel Star Wars #1 Comic from 1977! This is not a reprint or a "collector's" edition. The comic is in mint condition and graded a 9.8 out of 10 condition by the CGC. What you see is what you will get. The comic pictured is the actual comic for sale - CGC grading number 1346358010. It was graded and sealed December 9, 2015.-- OBSERVATIONS This one is in REALLY nice shape. Worth it's 9.8 grading. JEWEL CASE & MYLAR CONTAINTER It uses the classic CGC jewel case and is flawless. The comic has set nicely into the mylar interior casing and page creep is minimal. The grading and seal date was December 2015. COMIC This comic has minimal color bleed or yellowing as you can see in the photos - taken in natural light under cover of course! Please look carefully at the photos, I zoomed in/out to show condition as best I can. Currently, the comic is being stored in a dark room and bagged for maximum protection from any type of exposure.

-- THE CGC GRADING SYSTEM The Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) is a reputable comics grading authority that certifies the condition of comic books across the country. With a 9.8 grading, this comic is in the condition as you would have seen in it in 1977 - yes close to 40 years ago! The CGC gives issues of this condition a population number of only 510 units.

This means only 510 comics on the planet are registered to be in this condition. The comic is sealed into a heavy mylar sleeve (that offers 99% UV protection) and then enclosed in an attractive jewel case.

A CGC label is also encased showing the comic grade and an archival serial number. There's a lot of nostalgia wrapped up in this thing. The good news is that owning a CGC mint condition comic is the equivalent of owning a share of stock. Over time the comic will only increase in value.
