Vintage Star Wars Shirt San Diego Comic Con Crew Shirt from 1976 RARE
Worn by the Marketing Department when Star Wars was introduced at the 1976 San Diego Comic Con. Those present at the Comic Con were Charles Lippincott who was the advertising publicity supervisor on Star Wars, Roy Thomas who wrote the comic adaptation for A New Hope, and Howard Chaykin who illustrated the first ten issues of the Marvel Star Wars comics series. It was believed the figure in the picture is George Lucas as Han Solo with a Light Saber. I was not there then as I lived in the Bay Area and was just a kid, so I had no way of getting there. Can you imagine being there? It was the beginning of it all.
No rips, tears or holes. The Label is unreadable due to age. Size small according to measurements, 14" armpit to armpit and 24" from back of neck to lower hem. Has a stain on upper right, see pic. I have not washed it.
The Force will be strong with you wearing this to the next Star Wars Convention. A very rare item indeed.
