Star Wars Outbound Flight Thrawn Dave Seeley Oil Painting for Lucasfilm
The original art commissioned for the novel Star Wars: Outbound Flight, featuring the character Grand Admiral Thrawn as a young officer of the Chiss fleet then called Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Obi Wan and Anakin are also involved in the story. Commissioned by Del Rey/Lucasfilm - oil on paper on panel 28" x 19"... Black Wood and Pewter frame, about an inch in depth. This one was for a wrap-around jacket for a stand alone novel.
I had lots of latitude to design from a provided simple napkin sketch, and was able to design the Vagaari "moth fighters" in the upper left in their entirely, so the first appearance of those within canon. The painting has been cleared through Lucasfilm for sale here. Check Wookieepedia for tons more detail.
